Its name is debated between the Aymara and Quechua language, which means hot water or trick water, respectively. It is located in the National Park of the same name, and is the second highest active volcano in the world, after the volcano Ojos del Salado, and is the third highest mountain in Chile.
The Inca ruins, found at 6,710 m are the archaeological find at highest altitude in the world. Considered as sacred mountain, here they found 3 children, the bodies are: a teenager of 15 years old, called The Maid; A boy was 7 years old, El Niño; And a girl 6 years old, La Niña del Rayo.

DAY 1 : ANTOFAGASTA / IMILAC STATION 8,202 ft
In the morning, we load our vehicle and we will finish all trip details. After lunch (not included), we head for Paso Socompa, where the first camp is, an old abandoned mining refuge, about 188 km away.
DAY 2: IMILAC STATION / ZORRITAS CAMP 13,451 ft
Breakfast. We will going to the Llullaillaco National Park where is the Zorritas camp. This will be our base camp. Dinner.
DAY 3: ZORRITAS CAMP 13,451 ft
Breakfast. Day of rest and for prepare the equipment for to carry up. Dinner.
DAY 4: ZORRITAS CAMP / CAMP 1 - 15,748 ft carry equipment
Breakfast. Day dedicated to the acclimatization and the carrying part of our equipment, food and fuel to the Camp 1, we will load the equipment to approach in vehicle by the part of the route, soon we will walk to reach 15,748 ft. Return to Zorritas camp. Dinner
All material not necessary for the summit day will be left in Base camp. Each member of the group, without exception, will carry part of the personal and group equipment for the summit day.
DAY 5: CAMP ZORRITAS / CAMP 1 - 15,748 ft
Breakfast. We will move to camp 1. DInner.
DAY 6: CAMP 1 / HIGH CAMP - 18,373 ft carry equipment
Breakfast. Day dedicated to the acclimatization and the carrying part of our equipment to high camp. Each member of the group, without exception, will carry part of the personal and group equipment for the summit day. Dinner.
DAY 7: CAMP 1 / HIGH CAMP 18,373 ft
Breakfast. We will go to high camp. High altitude dinner.
DAY 8: SUMMIT DAY 22,110 ft
The big day! The group will get up around 3 am. Breakfast and ready to start to climb. The use of crampons will depend on the snow conditions. This will be an unforgettable experience. Return to high camp. High altitude dinner.
DAY 9: EXTRA SUMMIT DAY
Extra summit day in case of bad weather or to achieve better acclimatization.
DAY 10: HIGH CAMP / ZORRITAS CAMP 13,451 ft
Breakfast. We will go down to base camp Zorrtitas. From high camp we will load up all equipment of the expedition as well as all garbage produced. Dinner.
DAY 11: ZORRITAS CAMP/ ANTOFAGASTA 0 ft
Breakfast. This day we will go to the final destination of this expedition, Antofagasta. From Camp we will load up all equipment of the expedition as well as all garbage produced. Hotel. (Dinner is not included). End of our services.
